Banoffee Pies Records Album series continues with a fitting label and LP debut from Honeydrip. The “Psychotropical” collection delivers a series of futuristic dance versions that ride across the dub, dancehall and sound system spectrum, landing neatly in sitting position with the deeply rooted post dubstep sound the Bristol label continues to represent.

A warm welcome to the Montreal based Canadian-Bajan DJ, Producer, Host, and long standing scene affiliate, now finding their stride and joining their Caribbean roots with a handful of featuring vocals works from critically acclaimed artist King Shadrock, and a solo collaboration with infamous Equiknoxx collective member, Shanique Marie, on “System”, an apt opening track to the release from a vocalist whose contributions to the likes of DDS & Swing Ting ++, continue to resonate generations on.

King Shadrock’s contributions scatter across four compositions and re-affirm his position and generational respect, continuously providing wise and conscious lyrics with a contagious positivity. An unforgettable and timeless voice for those familiar with their previous work and decades of input to dubwise electronica.

The all-star selection of contributors meets no exception with the co-production of fellow Canada based artist and sound innovator Ouri on “Hardcore Continuum”. The album seamlessly transforms and merges the many sonic dimensions of each artist’s foundations, connecting under a wide umbrella of hybrid music, standing comfortably between the old and new.
